My Adventure to Freeport Bahamas
Last Sunday, on March 3rd, I embarked on an exciting journey to Freeport, Bahamas, departing from Nassau. The adventure began bright and early as I caught the first flight at 6:30 AM. In just 35 short minutes, I found myself landing in the beautiful Freeport.
As I arrived, the scent of the salty sea air greeted me, and I was filled with anticipation for the day ahead. My first stop was Port Lucaya, where I indulged in a delightful Bahamian morning breakfast dish – boil fish and Johnny cake. The flavors danced on my taste buds, and I savored every bite.
Eager to explore, I made my way to the nearby beach, just across the street. The soft sand and crystal-clear waters beckoned, and I spent the morning basking in the warm sunshine and listening to the soothing sound of the waves crashing against the shore.
Around 11:30 AM, I had the pleasure of reuniting with a dear friend, Brittnee Hanna Treco, who has been living on the island for over a year and a half. Our meeting filled me with joy, and we decided to have lunch together at Taino Beach. I relished in a delicious meal of salmon and salad, accompanied by some mouthwatering conch fritters.
During our lunch, Brittnee shared exciting news about her upcoming venture – a gym in downtown Freeport. It was inspiring to see her pursuing her dreams and making a positive impact on the community.
Despite it being only a one-day trip, my time in Freeport was unforgettable. As a child, I had lived in Freeport and attended Sun Land, so returning brought back cherished memories and allowed me to reconnect with the island’s beauty.
As I reflect on my trip, I am filled with gratitude for the opportunity to explore new destinations and create lasting memories. This year, I plan to embark on several more adventures in the Caribbean and around the USA, and I look forward to sharing my experiences with you through this blog.
Thank you for joining me on this journey, and I hope you continue to follow along as I explore the wonders of the world. Until next time, cheers!
