Halloween’s almost here, and I can’t hide my excitement! Tomorrow, I’ll be taking my 5-year-old daughter for some trick or treating action in our neighborhood, and I’m genuinely looking forward to it. She’s been counting down the days, eagerly waiting to slip into her costume, go door-to-door, and stock up on candy. You know what’s funny? Christmas is just around the corner, but right now, I’m all in for this Halloween adventure. These moments with my little one are precious, and I know that as she gets older, she won’t be as keen to hang out with me. It’s like I get to relive my youth through her, and it’s a delightful experience.

Here’s a little backstory for you. I come from the Bahamas, where at her age, I was also out trick or treating without a care in the world. It was a tight-knit and safe community, where you didn’t even have to lock your front door. Try doing that in the bustling city, and you’d probably raise some eyebrows or even get in trouble. It’s crazy to think about how much freedom I had back then. So, to all you fellow Halloween enthusiasts, have a fantastic time out there, collect that candy, and most importantly, stay safe and enjoy the spooky vibes!
