Nassau Get Ready! There is an awesome family event happening next weekend that you won’t want to miss. On Saturday, February 28, 2026, pianist Dion Cunningham will perform a special concert called “Passion, Peace and Play” at Christ Community Church.

The show starts at 7 PM and celebrates the launch of his very first solo piano album, which is one of the first classical piano recordings in Bahamian history. You can even get autographed CDs at the event to keep as a special memory.

Dion is a world-class pianist who grew up right here in Nassau. He started playing music at age five and eventually earned a Doctor of Musical Arts degree. He has performed all over the world, including a big debut at Carnegie Hall in 2016. When he isn’t performing, he teaches at the University of The Bahamas and runs a piano studio for kids called Kidz on Keys. He also started a non-profit called Adventures in the Arts, which helps thousands of students and young people learn about music and dance.

The concert will feature beautiful music by the composer Schumann. To make the night even more exciting, Dion will be joined by his talented friends: singer Shanae Kemp and violinist Keith Colon. Dion believes that music has a special power to bring people together and change our community for the better. He hopes his story inspires others to follow their dreams, no matter where they come from.

This is a perfect event for the whole family to enjoy together. Tickets are $50 for adults ($60 at the door) and $20 for children ($25 at the door). You can pick up your tickets at Logos Bookstore, Custom Computers in Caves Village, or Christ Community Church. Come out and support a local star for an evening of music that will leave you feeling inspired!
