New York, Get Ready!

This Labor Day Weekend, we’re bringing the culture, energy, and vibes to Slattery’s Midtown Pub from Friday, August 29 to Sunday, August 31 — and you don’t want to miss it!

MELLO-D Takes Center Stage
Representing the Bahamas, MELLO-D is bringing that Rake n Scrape and Junkanoo energy straight to the stage. Her name comes from her mom, who affectionately called her “Melody Jaybird.” After losing her mom at just 9, MELLO-D turned to singing to honor her biggest inspiration.

Having sung since she could speak, she grew up surrounded by the vibrant sounds of the islands. While Gospel will always hold a special place in her heart, Rake n Scrape and Soca became her passion thanks to artists like Phill Stubbs, Sweet Emily, and KB. Fans can expect a mix of genres and energetic performances, including hits like “Who Mad Stay Mad,” “Ride The Pine,” “Take My Oath To The Billy Goat,” and “Wotless Man.” Her favorite to sing? “Take My Oath To The Billy Goat.”

🔥 Also Featuring:

DJ D Rell – Debuting his new hit “Dance On Dem” featuring Bahamian Julien Believe, fusing Rake n Scrape and Trinidad Soca.

Scepta – Jamaican dancehall fire

Mikaelle Aimee – Haitian powerhouse with soulful, energetic performances

Gigi – Representing Bahamas & Trinidad with soca and island flair
