This inspiring event was created and led by Troika Hanna of the Inspire Music & Art Academy Foundation and brought together young Bahamian musicians and artists for an unforgettable week of creative exploration and cultural exchange.

Rock The City and MaximumBass are proud sponsors of Junkanoo in Music City — a groundbreaking summer camp that celebrated the vibrant spirit of Bahamian culture through music.

Participants had the rare opportunity to engage in workshops and one-on-one sessions with both Bahamian and American professional entertainers — including members of the Bahamas Junkanoo group Colors and renowned musicians Yonell Justillien, Chris Justillien, Rashad, Nathaniel Adams, Tanya Hanna and Joseph Wooten of the Grammy Award-winning group The Wooten Brothers and many others.

The week concluded with an exciting recording session at Track Studios in Nashville, where students helped create and record original Junkanoo music — a powerful culmination of their hard work and collaboration.

We’re excited to announce our plans to bring this incredible cultural experience to New York City next year!

A heartfelt thank you to all the businesses and supporters who made this event possible — your support is helping us shape the next generation of creative leaders.
