Labor Day Weekend officially kicked off Friday night at Slattery’s Midtown Pub with the opening of the Caribbean Music Festival—and what an incredible start it was!

The night began with the sweet sounds of Mikaelle Aimee, representing the island of Haiti. Armed with her guitar, she delivered soulful Kompa ballads that filled the room with passion and heart.

Next up was Scepta, hailing from the parish of Westmoreland, Jamaica. A true country boy with powerful stage presence, he brought raw energy and conviction, determined to spread his message through music.

Closing out the night was none other than Zyan Reign, born in Miami to Jamaican parents. With roots deep in island culture, she captivated the crowd performing her hit single that charted in both Jamaica and Europe, first released during the pandemic. Her performance was nothing short of a blessing, setting the tone for an unforgettable weekend.
